What is Global Facts all about?

Well … when one looks at the above pictures we get a glimpse of how beautiful our little blue planet really is.

We can also see that we, as a species, are capable of building some truly spectacular things.

Alas only the nature on our planet seems to flourish and stand out, because our own personal nature doesn’t.

Too many of our species have done some very atrocious acts, usually against others.

 

I’m remembering a brilliant scene from the 1986 movie “Aliens” in which Sigourney Weaver says “…I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage.”

Oddly enough that kind of sums up what our species has become.

And it only seems to get worse.

The media can sugarcoat it as much as they please, but I’m not going to do that.

I like to tell it how it is. If you can’t cope with that, leave the website now and and try not to come back.

 

I’ve always been a fan of history. Even in school. But we all know that life wasn’t much better way back when.

The Ancient Egyptians enslaved their own people to build those gigantic pyramids, the early Jews narced on their own for not bowing to the Roman oppressors, Soviets were kept in poverty to be ruled easier, and, in the 1950’s, Americans were told to turn in any communist sympathisers to the authorities, even if this meant turning in a member of their own family.

From this we can come to the conclusion that we haven’t learned a goddamed thing.

We’ve always been made to fear those who govern us.

And if you think that doesn’t happen anymore, think again. Sleep on it. Take some vitamins.

 

Holland, for one, isn’t a democracy anymore. Like the United States, it’s run by a capatalist cabinet that lets the voter THINK they have some say through elections.

When you tell someone you’re a socialist, they automatically assume you’re a communist hippie.

Well I say “Fine!”, because there’s nothing wrong with communism. (well it works on paper anyway.)

If we, as a species, weren’t so fucking greedy, maybe communism would have worked.

At least the socialist side of the theory functions and makes sense –  “For the people”.

In the near future I will be addressing politics as a topic in a new chapter on this website, so stay tuned for that.

Okay a little about me: I like aviation, history, anthropology, heavy metal, offroading, golf (yeah, really!), ice hockey, a good joke, pizza, döner kebab, exotic women, Formula 1, interesting documentaries, and gripping mysteries and thrillers. Oh, and I like to write.

Occasionally I like to read. (I'm currently reading the revised version of The Nag Hammadi Scriptures by Marvin Meyer, and I have The Divine Comedy and Faust after that)

 

Favorite countries: Canada, Scotland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, (I'm not unfond of the cold as you can see), China, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, America, Luxembourgh, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Gambia, Cameroon, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Vietnam, Myanmar, Italy, Ireland & Northern-Ireland, and Romania.

And some day in the future I'll be able to say that I visited them ALL! These are, off the top of my head, just the most spectacular countries on the planet. According to pictures I've seen that just make you think "I really need to go there some time."
