History of the World

No, this isn't about the Mel Brooks movie.
But it's not really that far off, to be perfectly honest.

History has given us some really nice things, but also some incredibley brutal moments.

Our evolution, wars, creations over the years, people of importance, events ... it's all part of history.
And we're all part of it.
We've all witnessed something spectacular at one time or another.
Some of them have been part of your local news, some of it made world news.
Think of the fall of the Iron Curtain, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the death of Ghandi, the death of Lady Di, America's first black president, the first man in space, the Heizel stadium disaster, the Blatter scandal ...
To name just a few.

History has made us who we are today.
It's given us something to talk about.

It has, for some of us, changed our views of the world, and for our fellow people.

In the next few pages I will be highlighting two historical events that we're able to relive through film footage and pictures.
But I'll also be going much further back in time, to an era where even writing was seen as very time-consuming.

This is not an attempt to shock anyone. These are MY views on certain topics.

And if the topics interest you and you are open-minded enough to accept the less main-stream opinions, then by all means read on.

If not, I suggest continuing to the page called Grievances for some raw humor.
